An unexpected midweek afterwork session. Was looking on XC weather all day and the sea breeze had nicely kicked in to 17 knots all day long. I arrived home about 6:30PM and decided there was jus enough time for a session so off to Starr Gate to take advantage of the long light evenings.

Got there to find 5 or so other kiters out on big kites; most of them came in as I hit the water as the wind had completly died. It was my first session on the Sonic so there was no turnin back I was so eager to test it out. Winds were superlight around 5 knots so there was barely enough wind to do a little down winder in the shallows.

The whole set up of the kite was wrong so I did a few tweaks here and there with the wind at the same time also picking up a few knots. Wind got upto 8 -10 knots for a time so there was jus enough wind to enable me to do some light wind cruising.
The session was nothing special cos of the light winds. Out for an hour and a half before the wind died completely. Packed in and as soon as I was driving off, the wind picked upto 10 - 15knots again!
Grrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr!!!
Definately a 2 star sesh
